What is the Army NCC Special Entry scheme?

Where do NCC Special Entry candidates train after selection?

NCC Special Entry candidates (non-technical) undergo a 49-week training programme at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. After successful completion, they are commissioned as Lieutenants with Permanent Commission in the Indian Army. They are then posted to various regiments and corps based on vacancies and preferences.
