Candidates with a forestry degree will have significant advantage in these technical topics.

Forest Range Officers are supervisory officers who manage a forest range comprising multiple beats and forest guards under them. They have powers of investigation under the Indian Forest Act 1927 and can conduct raids, file cases, and appear in court. Range Officers coordinate plantation drives, oversee forest department schemes, manage budget at range level, and report to Deputy Conservator of Forest.
