They support the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) athletes and those in the Top-16 pipeline for international competition. The exam consists of 100 objective-type questions to be attempted in 120 minutes. Sections include Sports Science (physiology, biomechanics, nutrition), Exercise Physiology (VO2 max, lactate threshold, periodisation), Sports Psychology (motivation, anxiety, concentration techniques), and General Studies (SAI programmes, sports policy, current affairs).
