- 1Study your subject (Maths, Science, English, etc.) from graduation level — subject knowledge carries 80 marks and is decisive
- 2Cover the relevant NCERT textbooks from Class 6–10 as TGT teaches up to Class 10
- 3Prepare Pedagogy section from B.Ed notes — teaching methods, lesson planning, and assessment are tested
- 4Follow current affairs and national GK for the 40-mark General Awareness section
