Preparation Tips
- 1Study SCERT Tamil Nadu textbooks alongside NCERT; TN has state-specific content in science, social studies, and language that directly appears in TNTET, especially the 60Q subject section in Paper 2.
- 2Focus on Tamil Nadu's education history and its unique contributions: activity-based learning (ABL) methodology pioneered in Tamil Nadu primary schools is a frequently tested topic in pedagogy.
- 3For Child Development & Pedagogy, cover Piaget's cognitive stages, Vygotsky's ZPD, and also Erikson's psychosocial development as TNTET has a broader coverage of developmental theories.
- 4Practise time management: with 150 questions in 150 minutes, plan to spend no more than 40 minutes on each 30-question section, leaving buffer time for review.
