UPPSC Forest Service Prelims has 150 objective questions in 150 minutes with General Studies (75Q) and Forestry/Agriculture/Science (75Q). Mains has 6 papers including Essay, General Studies I & II, and three Optional papers. Interview carries 100 marks.

UPPSC Forest Service fills posts of Range Forest Officer (RFO), Forest Conservator Assistant, Wildlife Warden Subordinate, and other Grade A and B forestry posts in Uttar Pradesh Forest Department and related environmental bodies.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Forestry, Agriculture, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geology, or Statistics from a recognized university. The age limit is 21 to 32 years for general category with standard relaxation for reserved categories.

UPPSC RFO salary is in Pay Band-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400. Basic pay starts at approximately Rs. 56,100 per month. Including various allowances like Uniform Allowance and Remote Area Allowance, total package can reach Rs. 80,000-1,00,000 per month.
