Bengali Language in WB Police SI covers grammar (sandhi, samasa, karak, tense, voice), vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, phrases), comprehension of Bengali passages, and ability to understand official Bengali police documents. Since WB Police FIRs, case diaries, and station house records are maintained in Bengali, language proficiency is essential. Candidates should study from WB Board Class X–XII Bengali textbooks.
