JKSSB Combined Services CBT has 100 objective questions in 120 minutes: General Studies (40Q), General English (30Q), and Reasoning & Mental Ability (30Q) with -0.25 negative marking. The examination is held online with strict anti-cheating protocols. There is no separate Mains for most posts — selection is direct based on CBT merit.

After the Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation Act 2019, candidates must have J&K domicile certificate to apply for JKSSB posts.
