Bihar ANM ASHA Facilitator Health Recruitment

SHSB (State Health Society Bihar) is the implementation agency for the National Health Mission in Bihar, responsible for recruiting contractual health workers including ANMs, Staff Nurses, and other paramedical staff. ANM recruitment is conducted to fill positions at sub-centers and primary health centers across Bihar's 38 districts. The process involves a written exam followed by document verification and council registration check. SHSB Bihar recruits both ANMs and ASHA Facilitators who supervise and support a cluster of ASHA workers in villages.

An ASHA Facilitator is a mid-level position that supervises approximately 20 ASHA workers in a block cluster under NHM. While an ANM provides direct clinical services at sub-centers, an ASHA Facilitator primarily focuses on mentoring, training, and monitoring ASHA workers' performance and reporting. ASHA Facilitators in Bihar are recruited from among experienced ANMs or from eligible candidates with ANM qualification.
