Central Reserve Police Force Assistant Sub Inspector Executive Recruitment

CRPF Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Executive is a Group C supervisory post responsible for leading a section of 8-12 constables in day-to-day operational, guard, and administrative duties within CRPF units. ASI Executive is distinct from ASI Ministerial (clerical duties) — ASI Executive officers conduct parades, supervise armed duties, manage armoury, lead escort duties, and handle internal security tasks. The post is at Level 5 (Rs. 29,200 per month) and is a critical supervisory link between Constables/Head Constables and Sub Inspectors in CRPF's command structure.

CRPF ASI Executive is recruited through SSC CPO (Central Police Organizations) exam, which simultaneously recruits SI and ASI for CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, Delhi Police, and other central police organizations. The SSC CPO process includes: Tier I CBT (100 questions, 120 minutes), Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test (qualifying), Tier II CBT (English Language paper), Medical Examination, and Document Verification. A bachelor's degree is mandatory for CRPF ASI Executive, making it a graduate-level recruitment unlike Constable and Head Constable posts.

SSC CPO Tier I covers four sections of 25 questions each (100 questions total, 120 minutes): General Intelligence & Reasoning (pattern recognition, logical deduction, coding-decoding, verbal and non-verbal reasoning), General Knowledge & Awareness (current events, history, geography, polity, economics, general science), Quantitative Aptitude (number systems, computation, percentage, ratio, average, time-work, algebra, geometry), and English Comprehension (reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, error detection). The overall level is moderate to hard — graduate level for a supervisory post. SSC CPO Tier II is an English Language paper (200 questions, 120 minutes).

CRPF ASI Executive candidates need: Male height 165 cm (170 cm for J&K, NE states, hilly areas), chest 77 cm unexpanded with minimum 82 cm expanded; Female height 157 cm. Physical Efficiency Test includes 100-metre race (16 seconds for male, 18 seconds for female), 800-metre race (3:45 for male, 4:45 for female), Long Jump (3.65m male, 2.7m female), High Jump (1.2m male, 0.9m female), and Shot Put (4.5kg for male). The PET is more demanding than Constable recruitment, reflecting the supervisory and leadership role of ASI. Eye standards require 6/6 vision in at least one eye.

CRPF ASI Executive (Level 5, Rs. 29,200) progresses to SI (Level 6, Rs. 35,400), Inspector (Level 7, Rs. 44,900), and Senior Inspector through departmental promotion exams and time-bound promotions. Exceptional performers can reach Deputy Commandant (Level 11) through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE).
