Gujarat Common Entrance Test

GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is conducted by GSEB (Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board) for BTech and BPharm admissions in Gujarat. The final admission merit is calculated as a composite of GUJCET score (40% weightage) and Class 12 GSEB/CBSE board marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (60% weightage). This high weightage for board marks means that students with excellent Class 12 scores have a significant advantage even with a moderate GUJCET score.

GUJCET covers over 1 lakh engineering seats across 300+ engineering colleges in Gujarat, including premier government institutions like LD College of Engineering Ahmedabad, BVM Engineering College Vallabh Vidyanagar, Government Engineering College Rajkot, and Dharmsinh Desai University. Top private colleges like Nirma University, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, and Charotar University also use GUJCET scores for state quota admissions. Computer Science and Information Technology are the most competitive branches.

GUJCET is primarily based on the Gujarat State Board (GSEB) Class 11 and 12 syllabus. Students from CBSE or other boards appearing for GUJCET must ensure they cover Gujarat-specific topics that may not be in their board syllabus.
