Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala, located in Punjab, is another major coach manufacturing unit of Indian Railways. RCF specialises in manufacturing LHB (Linke-Hofmann-Busch) coaches used in premium trains. Trade Apprentices at RCF learn modern coach manufacturing techniques including sheet metal work, fabrication, electrical wiring, pneumatic braking systems, and coach testing. Training at RCF provides exposure to cutting-edge rail coach technology.
