What colleges accept AP EAPCET 2027 scores?

AP EAPCET scores are used for admission to government and private engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh including JNTUA, AU College, SVCE, and 500+ affiliated colleges.

Is AP EAPCET only for Andhra Pradesh students?

Under the AP local-reservation G.O. (Ms. No. 20, May 2025), 85% of seats in each course are reserved for AP local candidates (locals of either university area — AU or SVU region) and 15% are unreserved, open to all eligible candidates. Separately, NITs and IIITs fill their AP-quota seats through JEE Main, not through AP EAPCET.

What is the AP EAPCET 2027 syllabus?

AP EAPCET follows the AP State Intermediate (Class 11+12) syllabus. Mathematics has higher weightage with 80 questions. The difficulty level is intermediate — easier than JEE Main.

How is the AP EAPCET rank calculated?

AP EAPCET ranks combine 75% weightage on your normalised EAPCET marks with 25% weightage on your Intermediate (10+2) group-subject marks (MPC or BiPC), per the official booklet. The exam runs in multiple sessions, so raw marks are first normalised across shifts before the combined merit list is prepared.

What is the AP EAPCET application fee?

As per the 2026 booklet: ₹800 for Open category, ₹750 for BC and ₹700 for SC/ST candidates, per stream. Late fees escalate in tiers from ₹1,000 up to ₹10,000. 2027 fees will be announced with the notification.

What rank is needed for top AP colleges through EAPCET?

Per AP EAPCET 2026 counselling (OC, CSE closing ranks by phase): AU College of Engineering Visakhapatnam closed at 1,592 in Phase 1 widening to 5,567 in the final phase, JNTU Kakinada at 1,248 to 4,973, JNTU Anantapur at 5,225 to 8,341, and SVU College of Engineering Tirupati at 5,270 to 10,960. Earlier phases always close tighter — judge cutoffs by phase, not by a single number.

Is there negative marking in AP EAPCET?

No. AP EAPCET awards +1 mark for every correct answer and 0 for wrong or unattempted questions. You should therefore attempt all 160 questions — there is no penalty for guessing.

Can I appear for both MPC and BiPC streams in AP EAPCET?

Yes, but you must register separately for each stream. MPC candidates answer Mathematics (80) + Physics (40) + Chemistry (40); BiPC candidates answer Biology (80) + Physics (40) + Chemistry (40). Agriculture and Pharmacy seats are filled through the BiPC stream.

What is the eligibility criteria for AP EAPCET 2027?

You must have passed (or be appearing in) the AP Intermediate or equivalent 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. General category candidates typically need 45% aggregate in the group subjects (40% for SC/ST/BC) for engineering courses. When should I start preparing for AP EAPCET?

Most successful candidates prepare seriously for 6-9 months. Since ~70% of questions come from the Intermediate second-year syllabus, begin with Class 12 topics, then revise Class 11. Solving the last 10 years of AP EAMCET/EAPCET papers is the single most effective preparation activity.

What documents are required for AP EAPCET counselling?

Keep ready: AP EAPCET rank card and hall ticket, Intermediate marks memo, SSC memo, transfer and study certificates (Classes 6-12), income certificate (for fee reimbursement), caste certificate if applicable, and Aadhaar. Web counselling is conducted online by AP EAPCET officials.

Is AP EAPCET harder than TS EAPCET?

Both are similar in difficulty — intermediate (State Board) level with no negative marking. Past papers show AP EAPCET Maths is slightly more calculation-heavy while TS EAPCET Physics leans more conceptual. Preparing with both states' previous papers covers the full difficulty range.

Is a calculator allowed in AP EAPCET?

No. Calculators, mobile phones, smart watches and log tables are banned in the CBT exam hall. Questions are designed to be solvable without a calculator, so practise mental arithmetic and speed calculations.

Is there a qualifying minimum in AP EAPCET?

Yes — OC/BC candidates need at least 25% of maximum marks (40 out of 160) to be ranked. There is no minimum qualifying mark for SC/ST candidates; their consideration is limited to reserved-category seats. Ranks also require meeting the 45% (40% reserved) Intermediate group-subject eligibility.
