Expert Preparation Tips
Statistical Inference (estimation and hypothesis testing) is the most heavily tested area — master the theory of estimators, confidence intervals, and likelihood ratio tests thoroughly.
Probability distributions and their properties (MGF, CGF, moments) appear in every JAM Statistics paper; make a comprehensive reference sheet for all standard distributions.
Linear Algebra is increasingly important in recent JAM Statistics papers — ensure you are comfortable with quadratic forms, spectral theorem, and matrix decompositions.
Solve at least 5 full-length mock tests under strict 3-hour conditions in the month before the exam to build stamina and identify your time management weaknesses.
