What rank is needed for top TS colleges?

Per the official TG EAPCET 2025 final-phase last rank statement (OC category, CSE): JNTUH UCEST Kukatpally closed at rank 1,228, VNR VJIET at 1,652, CBIT Gandipet at 2,053, Vasavi at 2,292, and OU College of Engineering at 2,547. SNIST (Sreenidhi) closed near 10,500, making it the most accessible of the top brands.

How is TS EAPCET different from JEE Main?

TS EAPCET is state-level and significantly easier than JEE Main. It follows Telangana State Board syllabus, has no negative marking, and focuses on intermediate-level concepts.

Is weightage given to Intermediate marks in TS EAPCET admission?

No. Telangana abolished the Intermediate weightage from 2023 — the official TG EAPCET booklet states ranks are allotted purely on normalised EAPCET marks. Strong Intermediate marks are still needed to meet the 45% (40% reserved) eligibility bar, but they do not affect your rank.

Who conducts TS EAPCET 2027?

TS EAPCET 2027 will be conducted by JNTU Hyderabad on behalf of TGCHE (Telangana Council of Higher Education — formerly TSCHE). TGCHE issues the notification, while JNTUH handles the examination and result processes.

Is there negative marking in TS EAPCET?

No. Every correct answer earns 1 mark and there is no penalty for wrong answers, so you should attempt all 160 questions. To be ranked you need at least 25% of maximum marks (40/160) if you are in OC/BC; there is no minimum qualifying mark for SC/ST candidates.

Can BiPC students write TS EAPCET?

Yes. The Agriculture and Pharmacy stream is for BiPC students: 80 Botany/Zoology questions, 40 Physics and 40 Chemistry. MPC and Agriculture & Pharmacy streams have separate question papers, registrations and rank lists.

What is the TS EAPCET eligibility criteria?

You must have passed or be appearing in the Telangana Intermediate (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology, with at least 45% aggregate in the group subjects (40% for reserved categories). Minimum age is 16 years as on 31 December of the admission year with no upper limit (17 years minimum, upper limit 22-25 years, for Dairy Technology/Ag Engineering/Food Technology courses). Telangana local-candidate rules apply for the 85% local quota; 15% of seats are unreserved.

How does TS EAPCET counselling and normalisation work?

The exam runs in multiple sessions, and marks are normalised across sessions before ranking (per the official booklet). Counselling (web options entry) is conducted online by TGCHE: you enter college-branch choices in order of preference, and seats are allotted across phases based on your rank, category and local area. Research previous final-phase closing ranks before locking options.

What is the TS EAPCET application fee?

As per the 2026 booklet: ₹900 per stream for General/OBC candidates and ₹500 per stream for SC/ST/PH candidates (₹1,800/₹1,000 if applying for both streams). Late fees escalate in tiers from ₹250 up to ₹10,000.
