Those not retained receive the Seva Nidhi corpus (approximately Rs 11.71 lakh tax-free) along with a skill certificate from IAF. Various state governments have announced reservations in state police and home guard forces for ex-Agniveers. The IAF also provides a placement cell that assists released Agniveers in finding civilian employment, particularly in aviation-related industries.
