CUET UG has three sections: Section IA/IB (Language), Section II (Domain Subjects), and Section III (General Test). Students choose their domain subjects based on the course and university they are applying to. You can attempt up to 6 domain subjects and 2 languages depending on your chosen programs.

Over 300 central, state, deemed, and private universities across India accept CUET UG scores for undergraduate admissions. This includes all 44 Central Universities, many state universities, and several prominent deemed universities. The list of participating universities grows each year.

CUET UG follows a marking scheme of +4 for each correct answer and -1 for each incorrect answer. Unattempted questions carry no marks and no penalty. The total marks depend on the number of sections attempted, with each section carrying 200 marks for 50 questions answered.

Most universities that participate in CUET UG use only CUET scores for shortlisting and do not consider Class 12 board percentages directly for merit lists. However, some universities may set a minimum Class 12 percentage as an eligibility criterion. You should check the specific admission policy of each university you are applying to.

The General Test covers current affairs, general knowledge, quantitative reasoning, and logical reasoning. Start by building a habit of reading newspapers daily and solving at least 20 quantitative aptitude and 20 logical reasoning questions each day. Focus on topics such as number systems, percentage, ratio, direction sense, and blood relations. Previous year CUET UG papers and NTA-pattern mock tests are the best way to gauge readiness.
