What is REAP and does it have a separate entrance exam?

REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) is the centralised counselling process for BTech admissions to engineering colleges affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) and other technical universities in Rajasthan. Unlike most state engineering exams, REAP does NOT conduct a separate entrance test. Instead, it uses JEE Main scores for merit ranking and seat allocation. Students appearing for JEE Main automatically become eligible for REAP counselling using their JEE Main Paper 1 scores.

REAP provides access to over 1.5 lakh engineering seats across 200+ engineering colleges in Rajasthan, including both government and private institutions. Top institutions accessible through REAP include MNIT Jaipur (via JEE for NIT, but state quota via REAP), Government Engineering Colleges in Ajmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur, and Kota, BITS Pilani (private, own admission process), and numerous private engineering colleges affiliated to RTU Kota.
